ICE FISHING TENTS

Ice fishing tents for a more mobile ice fishing activity

Ice fishers must look out for their safety and comfort while fishing on the ice. It wouldn't be worthwhile if they stay on the ice the whole day, chilling their guts out and fishing without success because they're not warm, safe, comfortable, or protected enough to enjoy their activity. Being on the snow the whole day would be much better enjoyed if anglers have ice fishing shelters to cover them from the wind and to keep the heat and warmth inside. And this surely is a must-have for those who love ice fishing.

These portable ice fishing shelters are usually referred as ice fishing tents because they serve and look like tents with hard floors. This makes these shelters easier to assemble and disassemble, thus making the anglers more mobile. Though these ice fishing tents are simpler than the permanent ice fishing houses, they serve well for the anglers, because they hold and keep almost the same features as those of the permanent ones, the only difference probably is the structure and style. Ice fishing tents come in a variety of styles and types, depending on which angler will use it. It comes in a flip-over style, folding type, mounted on an ATV, or homebuilt.

When buying ice fishing tents, anglers must note the things and features, which they want in their ice fishing tents; mainly because they might be awed by the many different ice fishing tents on sale that they may lost track of what they really need and want. First, they must decide whether to buy ice fishing tents that allow 2-3 persons to use or they prefer to just accommodate 1 person only, because they may opt to use a 1-man sized tent when in fact, they usually fish and go out on the ice with a partner or a group of friends. It wouldn't hurt if there's an extra space for one person, or a good space to store things like extra clothing, buckets, boxes, heater, etc., rather than be cramped in a small space --- that they can barely move or bend. Second, they must also consider the time it will take to install and uninstall the ice fishing tents, they wouldn't want to take hours just to set it up and another hour to take it down, it will take so much time out of the ice fishing activity --- remember they aren't there to build tents but to fish. Third, they must check the weight of these houses; it should be neither too heavy nor too light, or else, it will be too bulky to move it around thus defeating the purpose of its mobility feature, or it will be blown by the wind because it's too thin and light to block the wind thus defeating warmth and comfort feature of ice fishing tents. There are actually so many other things to consider --- mobility, floor type, material, vents, windows, doors, etc., as long as anglers know what they need, they would surely get the best buy.

Ice fishing tents are becoming must-haves for anglers, so in buying one, make sure that these tents are durable, efficient, and effective.
